A total of 200 Red Boxes of Love were assembled Wednesday, Feb. 12 by Barton Community College Men’s Soccer coach Jordan Rideout, his team of 11 athletes and assistant coach Tyler Rideout. The team assembled in a little under one hour boxes and donations from the community to help our homebound seniors feel remembered and loved. Boxes were then delivered by RSVP volunteers and CUNA Mutual Retirement Solution volunteers. This is the fourth year for the United Way of Central Kansas project. Other partners in the project include RSVP/Volunteers In Action of Central Kansas, Meals On Wheels of Barton County and ElderCare Inc.
