The Great Bend City Council will hold a special meeting at 8:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, at the City Offices to discuss a resolution for the Moderate Income Housing Grant. The Great Bend Economic Development Committee has indicated that a resolution of support is required by the State of Kansas to accompany its application for the Moderate Income Housing Grant.

Although the application for the grant for a proposed housing development consisting of nine units in the Zarah Mall property at 1917 Lakin Ave. was approved at the Sept. 20 city council meeting, no resolution was passed since no request for a resolution was made.

Following discussion, the council will vote on whether to adopt the resolution.
