The City of Great Bend announced this morning it will be burning the tree pile at the composite this week. Officials plan to start today and work could last up to a week as they take advantage of the current wind conditions.
The burn area will be monitored by city staff 24 hours a day.
“The City of Great Bend appreciates the patience of the public while this work is performed,” said James Giles, street superintendent. “It is likely if the wind is right that you might smell or see the smoke.”
