Central Kansas Christian Academy, a nonprofit Christian school in Great Bend, invites the public to its Family Fun Night and a new Corn Hole Tournament fundraiser on Sept. 1. Teams and sponsors are being accepted now for this new event.

The evening will begin with a special Family Fun Night at 5:15 p.m. on the school playground at 215 McKinley St. Hot dogs, chips and water will be available for a freewill donation.

Check-in for corn hole teams will begin at 5:45 p.m. with separate brackets for Youth (8th grade and below) and Adults (14 years and older).

“We are excited about this new fundraiser, and hope the community will come out to support the school by participating or sponsoring,” said CKCA Board Chair Brandon Schroeter. “Proceeds from the event will be used to help underwrite the rising costs of providing the very best in Christian education to our students and their families.”

Cost to play in the corn hole tournament is $25 per team of two, and registration is requested in advance prior to Aug. 30, if possible. Businesses are also invited to sponsor the event for a $100 minimum donation, which includes a team registration for those who also want to participate. Anyone interested can find more details or the online registration link by visiting the CKCA website: www.ckcacademy.com/events. There is also a Facebook event on the Central Kansas Christian Academy facebook page.
