Oct. 12

An officer responded to west edge of town on K-4 for traffic control until a Sheriff Deputy arrived for a vehicle/deer accident.

Oct. 14

An officer responded to 300 block 4th St. reference an animal complaint. Officer was unable to make contact with resident concerning the barking dog.

Oct. 15

An officer made contact with resident in 300 block 4th St. regarding the animal complaint. Owner was provided a copy of the City Ordinance.

An officer responded to 300 Block West Hamilton for an ambulance assist.

Oct. 16

An officer responded to 400 block 2nd St. reference a check welfare. Resident was fine. 

Oct. 18

An officer removed a road hazard in the 200 block West Front St.

Oct. 22

An officer responded to 100 block 2nd St. reference an alarm. Owner was resetting the keypad and activated the alarm.

Oct. 26

An officer transported unwanted medications that were collected during the week to the Barton County Sheriff Office for Drug Take Back Event.

Oct. 27

An officer contacted an individual who had left a phone message. Subject was concerned for his safety after an on-line relationship ended. He was advised to contact his local police department in Michigan.

An officer removed road hazard in the 500 block 3rd St. 

Oct. 28

An officer returned a phone call to an individual reference a vehicle damaged by some KDOT equipment to the west of the city limits on K-4.  

Oct. 29

An officer responded to 300 block 2nd St. reference 911 accidental dial. Contact was made and everything was fine.

Oct. 30

An officer responded to K-4 for an outside agency assist. Rice County Sheriff Office requested contact be made with an east bound semi-truck that had damaged the windshield of another vehicle. Contact was made and insurance information was exchanged between the two drivers.

Oct. 31

An officer sent a requested email regarding the KDOT equipment that was parked in town during the time frame that a vehicle was damaged along K-4. 

An officer escorted the girls high school volleyball team through town on their way to Dodge City for play-off games.

Nov. 2

An officer responded to 200 block East Front St. reference a check subject. It was reported a male was asking motorists for a ride eastbound from the store. Officer was unable to locate subject.

Nov. 3

An officer responded to 300 block 3rd St. for an ambulance assist.

Nov. 4

An officer received some information regarding the vehicles keyed earlier in town.

Nov. 6

An officer responded to 300 block 4th St. reference civil issue. A conflict between a landlord and tenant was addressed during the eviction process.

An officer responded to west edge of town regarding a check subject. Report was of a juvenile walking westbound from town along K-4. Officer was unable to locate any pedestrians.

An officer responded to 200 block 7th St. reference some found kittens. Animals were later returned to owner.
