Starting today, City of Great Bend personnel will begin the process of hauling snow. Be aware in the downtown area, 19th, 24th, and any other streets, that their equipment has created a wind row in the clean-up of snow.
A loader will be loading trucks from the wind rows in the center of the street and will be moving back and forth across the lane of traffic. They do this in an effort to remove the obstacle created in the clean-up process and in an attempt to help with ice issues as the snow melts.
“Please be attentive and cautious as we work in these major arterial streets. Your patience is appreciated,” said Street Supervisor Tony Bronson.
