College trustees monitor ‘The Barton Experience’

The Barton Community College Board of Trustees will hear a report on financial aid for fiscal year 2018-2019 when the board meets at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in room F-30 of the Fine Arts Building.

Other items on the agenda include the faculty council report, strategic planning report and a monitoring report on “END 4 - Barton Experience.” ENDS are the overarching goals that make up board policy. END 4 states, “Student responses will be positive about their Barton experience.” It is monitored by exit surveys and student testimony, with reports from Barton’s Inclusion and Diversity Team and its Student Life department.

Personnel additions and a report on plans for a Dec. 6 alumni event as part of Barton’s 50th-anniversary celebration are also on the agenda.
