Barton County’s Register of Deeds office recently purchased equipment for passport photos. The service is up and ready to offer to the public at the temporary courthouse offices located at 1500 Kansas Ave., the former JC Penney building.
“It’s a one stop convenience for passport applicants,” said Glenna French, Register of Deeds. “The photos are $20 and only take a couple of minutes to print while finalizing the necessary paperwork for obtaining passports.”
Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are recommended for groups of three or more people. Anyone applying for a passport needs to keep in mind that there are necessary documents that are required that they will need to bring with them. These include evidence of citizenship, photo identification, and a form of payment.
Anyone with questions can contact the Register of Deeds office at 620-793-1849.
