Some members of the Breast Friends breast cancer support group presented a check for $5,000 to the Golden Belt Community Foundation on Thursday for The Heartland Cancer Patient Care and Support Fund. The group has been doing bake sales and raffles for several years. “All the money we raise through our fundraising and donations goes to this fund. It is a way for our group to give back to area cancer patients,” said Debbie Finn, a founding member of the group.
