Officers from the Great Bend Police Department obtained and served a search warrant Monday, Nov. 21, at 1206 Polk Street, in reference to illegal drugs. Although the resident, Jorge Aguilar, 27, was not present when the warrant was served, officers are searching for him in order to question him about illegal narcotics found during the search warrant, according to the GBPD news release.
The Police Department asks that anyone with information regarding Aguilar’s whereabouts, or any information about illegal drug activity, contact the Department at 620-793-4120. You can also make an anonymous report by calling Crime Stoppers at 620-792-1300.

Another bust
It was the second search warrant for drugs at a Great Bend residence this month.
On Nov. 7, in an unrelated incident, officers served a search warrant at 1444 Broadway Ave. As they attempted to execute the warrant, a man (later identified as Francisco Rocha, 24 years of age) fled out a window and a woman (later identified as Maria Delacruz, 39 years of age) fled out the back door of the residence. Officers were able to take both of them into custody. During the search, officers located suspected methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and a firearm.
Rocha was arrested on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell and Delacruz was arrested on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
