Drugs seized in Hoisington residence

HOISINGTON — Two males were arrested Tuesday by the Hoisington Police Department after a search warrant yielded suspected methamphetamine and marijuana in a residence.
According to Hoisington Police Chief Kenton Doze, officers entered a residence in the 400 block of East 1st St. around 9 a.m. and executed a search warrant for narcotics.
“During the search officers recovered methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a stolen sawed-off shotgun,” Doze stated.
The two men were booked into Barton County Jail on the charges of possession of meth, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, criminal use of a firearm, defacing identification markings of a firearm, criminal use of a weapon, criminal possession of a weapon and aggravated weapons violation by a felon. Both men are being held with bonds set at $10,000.
