4-H Scholarships for the 2015 year

The Barton County 4-H Holding Board announces the recipients of 4-H Scholarships for the 2015 year.
Sarah Niederee, a South Bend Jolly Workers 4-H Club member, served as President of her 4-H Club, of Barton County 4-H Council and of the 4-H Livestock Committee. Sarah credits 4-H for teaching her the life skill of being able to speak to large groups and to speak confidently one-on-one with any person. She is the daughter of Bill and Robin Niederee of Great Bend.
Hannah Mauler, a Busy Buzzers 4-H Club member, has served as her club’s president and secretary and served as a Barton County 4-H Ambassador. Hannah prepared and presented talks for County and Regional 4-H Day nearly every year she was in 4-H. She is the daughter of Jeff and Sally Mauler of Great Bend.
Anna Frizell, a 10-year member of the TLC Twisters, lists learning to sew as her greatest achievement in 4-H. Anna has assisted younger members at sewing workshops and at Second Saturday Sewing. She also served as a Healthy Living Ambassador for her club. She is the daughter of Neil and Beverly Frizell of Great Bend.
Jessika Stroud, a member of the Busy Buzzers 4-H Club, has served as treasurer of her 4-H club for three years. Her favorite interests have been the swine and foods projects. Jessika is the daughter of Eugene and Darla Stroud of Great Bend.
The Barton County 4-H Holding Board, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation and all funds are used for the benefit of 4-H youth of Barton County. Matching funds for scholarships were provided by Chari Miller-Manry, in memory of Allan V. Miller who served as a volunteer 4-H leader for many years.
