The Ellinwood High School Vocal Music Department will present “The Wizard of Oz” for their annual fall musical. The production is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the EHS Auditorium.
In this staging of the beloved tale, Dorothy Gale of Kansas dreams of what lies over the rainbows.  One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away to another world.  Audience members will join the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy’s imagination.
The show is directed by vocal music instructor Kyla Pearce with technical direction by Leon J. Sobba.
The cast features juniors Katelyn Robinson as Dorothy and Drew Dannar as the Scarecrow, seniors Steven Cortez as the Tin Man and Avery Pike as the Wizard, and sophomore Colby Prescott as the Cowardly Lion.  Students from Ellinwood Grade School, St. Joseph School, and Ellinwood Middle and High Schools round out the cast.
