Great Bend High School’s Future Business Leaders of America team has qualified seven students for national competition the June in Anaheim, California.
Students traveled to Topeka at the end of March for state competition, and eight students earned awards (“FBLA members qualify for nationals,” Great Bend Tribune, April 4). Last week, FBLA Adviser Andy Negaard brought the students to the USD 428 Board of Education meeting for official recognition:
Ashtin Heath, senior, earned state recognition for Public Speaking. She qualified for nationals in Health Care & Administration and Impromptu Speaking. Because each student can only compete in one category at nationals, she will compete in Impromptu Speaking.
Kaitlyn Moos and Rossiel Reyes, juniors, finished in 1st place at state and will compete in the Graphic Design event.
Lindsey Newman, junior, will compete in Business Communications.
Allison Regehr, senior, will compete in Organizational Leadership.
Kaitlin Adams, senior, will compete in Business Law
Wyatt Rugan, senior, will compete in Personal Finance.
