GBHS Band has successful season

Great Bend High School Panther Marching Band members were recognized for an outstanding season by USD 428 Board of Education members on Monday night. Those present include, kneeling: Kaitlin Adams and Magdiel Rodriguez; and back row, Director Mark Dewald, Allison Muth, assistant drum major; Aubrey Maneth, head drum major; Kayn Milholland; and Assistant Director Austin Russell.

The Great Bend High School Panther Marching Band has had a successful fall season.
The band received all I ratings at the Kansas State Fair, four Is and two IIs at Winfield Marching Festival and a I rating at the Western Athletic Conference Marching Festival.
Three members were selected for the Kansas Music Educators Association District Honor Jazz Band including Allison Regehr, Ben Diel and Dorian Lueth.
Five band members were selected for the Kansas Music Educators Association District Honor Band, which will meet on Dec. 5, in Dodge City. They include Ben Diel, first chair trumpet; Allison Regehr, first chair french horn; Eric Vazquez, first chair bass clarinet; Kayn Milholland, second chair tuba; and Aubrey Maneth, eighth chair trombone.
