The deadline for students across Kansas to apply for scholarships from the Kansas Kiwanis Foundation is fast approaching. Applications are due by Feb. 1, and can be found on the Kansas District website under the Kansas Kiwanis Foundation tab, or from any of the Kansas Kiwanis Foundation Board members, or by sending an email to Kenton Krehbiel, Foundation secretary-treasurer, at kkfound@st-tel.net.
This past year, the Kansas Kiwanis Foundation was able to award 33 scholarships to high school and college students to help in furthering their education. These 33 scholarships totaled over $20,000. A student from each Division in the Kansas District who is attending a college or university is awarded a scholarship along with a number of at-large scholarships.
