Jody Messersmith received a ROSE award (Recognizing Outstanding Support of Education) from Great Bend USD 428 at the Feb. 13 board of education meeting.

Five teachers at Park Elementary School nominated head custodian Messersmith for this award, noting their sincere admiration for his positive attitude. “He greets students each morning, he reads to students, and he expresses care and concern when students need positive interaction and support.”
