The City of Great Bend Public Works Department would like the public to know that Wheatland Electric will be working at Main Street and Lakin Street on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The electricity will be off starting at 8:30 a.m. and is projected to be off for the duration of the day. As such, the traffic signals at this intersection will not be working. Stop signs will be placed on Lakin Street. Main Street will have the right of way.

Street Superintendent James Giles reminds motorists to be careful and attentive in this intersection. “The city would like to thank you for your patience as they work.”

For questions or concerns contact Giles at the City office, 620-793-4150.
