Ellinwood City Council special meeting announced

ELLINWOOD  — The Ellinwood City Council will meet in a special meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the City Offices, 104 E. 2nd.  The agenda includes four items of new business. Public hearings have been set regarding four Ellinwood properties: 106 W. 4th, 518 E. 4th, 404 E. 4th, and 610 N. Hirsch.  

According to the minutes of the Sept. 11 city council meeting, the council resolved the N. Hirsch property be deemed a health nuisance and a dangerous, unsafe or dilapidated structure for which condemnation proceedings would be initiated.  

The council resolved the remaining three properties unsafe, dangerous or dilapidated, and would initiate the condemnation proceedings. 

A formal determination on conditions of the structures is anticipated.
