ELLINWOOD — Two students from Ellinwood Grade School were honored by the Office of the State Fire Marshal for their winning entries in the state Fire Safety Poster Contest.
Winners and their families were invited to meet with Governor Laura Kelly and State Fire Marshal Doug Jorgensen at the State Capitol Building in Topeka on Friday, March 1.
Brynn Widener, second from left, was the 3rd grade winner. Bennett Jacobs, third from left, was the 4th grade winner. They are art students of Lisa McMullen, EGS.
Their posters are featured in the 2019 Fire Safety Calendar and were displayed in the State Capitol.
