A one-vehicle crash Monday morning in Graham County resulted in the death of a Hill City man and serious injury to a La Crosse man, the Kansas Highway Patrol reports.

The crash occurred at 7 a.m. at 2176 200th Avenue or a quarter-mile south of the intersection of M Road and 200th Avenue. Jarrod Lee Harper, 39, of Hill City was driving a 2001 Toyota 4Runner that veered off the roadway to the right, struck a culvert, went airborne and rolled at least two and a half times, coming to rest on the roof. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Passenger Jonathan Warren Vanloenen, 38, of La Crosse, was taken to the Graham County Medical Center in Hill City with suspected serious injury.

The men were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
