Great Bend’s First Baptist Church, 1600 19th St., will provide free Thanksgiving meals to anyone who needs them. Serving will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. “or until we run out of food” on Thursday, Nov. 24, said LiAnna Keith at First Baptist.
The meals will be prepared for take-out but there will be tables set up for anyone who wants to eat at the church, Keith said.
This is the church’s first year to try a Thanksgiving meal, so members don’t know how many people to expect. They distributed fliers at the Great Bend Senior Center.
Donations will be accepted, and anyone who wants to come out to help is also welcome, Keith said.
“We’re not turning anybody away,” she added. “God has blessed us; we’re supposed to bless others.”
