GB man nabbed after fleeing cops, faces drug charges

A Great Bend man is in custody after attempting to flee Great Bend Police Department officers and found with methamphetamine and paraphernalia Wednesday afternoon, according to a GBPD news release.

At about 3:10 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 5900 block of Birchwood attempting to locate Michael Brohaugh, 25, who had multiple outstanding warrants. Once at the residence, officers found Brohaugh and attempted to take him into custody on thee Great Bend Municipal Court warrants and one Barton County District Court warrant. 

As Officers tried to place Brohaugh under arrest, he resisted and attempted to escape the residence. Brohaugh was eventually apprehended. 

He was found to be in possession of meth and paraphernalia at the time of his arrest. 

Brohaugh was transported to the Barton County Jail and booked in lieu of bond. He remains in custody.
