GBFD made multiple fire runs last week

The Great Bend Fire Department was busy last week with units responding to multiple fire calls.
There was one fire call on Wednesday. At 4:23 p.m. units responded to a possible gas leak at 2002 Holland. Upon arrival units found a small leak coming from the gas meter. The gas company was contacted.

On Friday there were three fire calls. At 11:04 a.m. units responded to report of smoke coming from back of Dawsons Jewelers. The employees were evacuated. Upon arrival units found light smoke in back room of building. The smoke was at the ceiling level and was found coming from the heating & AC unit on the roof.
At 11:12 a.m. units responded to 222 19th for a smell of gas and at 8:21 p.m. units responded to 2901 10th St. for an alarm that had been activated. They found a smoke alarm that was activated; however there was no fire.
On Sunday there was one fire call, units responded to 501 3rd for arcing wires.
