Great Bend schools will dismiss classes at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept.  21, so that students may attend the Great Bend High School Homecoming Parade at 3 p.m.

All floats will need to enter Brit Spaugh Park at 19th and Williams by Park School.

Parents dropping off elementary and Great Bend Middle School students to be in the parade need to enter the park off of Morton Street by the skate park. They will drop their children off at the Wetlands Waterpark parking lot. The students will then be directed to the location of the float by GB Panther Booster members. Parents will exit at the skate park also when leaving.

Parents will need to check with their children’s individual schools to know where the float will drop off the children to be picked up after the parade.

School officials ask that parent keep children out of the traffic flow of the parade to avoid injury. Do not block the corner of Lakin Ave. and Main Street where the floats turn west toward Williams Street to return to the park.
