An original script has been written for the Great Bend High School Spring Play, “Cursed.”

Drama instructor Holly Johnson wrote the play with help from students in her Advanced Theatre class.

“This play was adapted and written based on the fairy tale ‘The Wild Swans’ by Hans Christian Anderson,” Johnson said. The story is about a princess who rescues her brothers from a spell cast by an evil queen.

The Advanced Theatre classes worked on the script, set and costumes during the fall semester. Then, Johnson pieced together the scripts and added in what was needed to make a full play.

“Cursed” will be performed Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 5-7, at the GBHS Auditorium. Show times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.
