GBHS students place at FHSU Math Relays

Pictured are the Great Bend High School students who participated in the Fort Hays State University Math Relays on Nov. 14.

Eighteen GBHS scholars participated in the 41st annual Fort Hays State University Math Relays on Thursday, November 14. Over 600 participants competed at this annual event.  

In Using Number Sense the 10th-grade team Maddix Pokorski, Esten Moore and Gabriella Reyes placed 2nd and the 12th-grade team Daniel Abbott, Alex Schremmer and Allen To placed 8th. Individually, junior Cal Dunekack placed 8th. 

In the Trigonometry event the 12th-grade team Jenna Mauler, Alex Schremmer and Allen To placed 7th.

Individually, junior Taylor Lindberg placed 10th, senior Daniel Abbott placed 7th and senior Chloe Givson placed 8th. 

In Algebraic Manipulations the 11th-grade team of Jaime Arellanes, Deizel Banks and Will Linenberger placed 3rd. Individually, junior Cal Dunekack placed 9th.

In Informal Geometry, Measurement event the 10th-grade team of Esten Moore, Gabriella Reyes and Amy To placed 8th, and the 12th-grade team of Daniel Abbott, Sayra Solis and Allen To placed 1st. In the individual portion of that event juniors Cal Dunekack placed 6th and Will Linenberger placed 9th and senior Chloe Gibson placed 3rd.

In Applications of Algebra the 9th-grade team of Alondra Alvarez, Madelynn Gregg and Maddix Pokorski placed 7th.

In Calculations with Calculators the 12th-grade team of Chloe Gibson, Jenna Mauler and Alex Schremmer placed 4th. In the individual portion sophomore Esten Moore placed 9th and senior Allen To placed 1st.
