For the first time ever, Great Bend Middle School is hosting a spring expo. The show displaying student work from exploratory classes is set for 5-7 p.m. April 24 at the middle school, 1919 Harrison St.
“It is for the students’ families and the community to see what is going on in the middle school in the exploratory classes,” said Alyssa Bliven, art teacher, who, with the Community Engagement Committee, is planning the event. “I think the students will enjoy showing their work and I am also hoping it will boost the students’ confidence in their work.”
As part of the fun, Music in Motion and Women in Harmony will provide a concert at 6 p.m. Bliven added that cookies, cake and punch will be served. She hopes community members will attend and that this becomes an annual event.
