The 2019 installment of the K-96 June Jaunt starts Friday and runs through Sunday.

It’s time once again this weekend for the annual K-96 June Jaunt. This 166-mile-long event, held the first weekend of June, stretches from Great Bend to Tribune, featuring arts, antiques, crafts, cuisine, music, and other entertainment and activities.

Those who visit the communities can choose from a variety of events, designed to showcase authentic rural Kansas at its finest, said Great Bend Community Coordinator Christina Hayes. Along the drive, choose from crafts and antique shows, car shows, concerts, barbecues, outdoor movies, magicians, kids’ games, sidewalk and garage sales, and food.

“June Jaunt is an excellent opportunity for everyone in town to jump in on the fun,” Hayes said. “This year is a great June Jaunt! We have several new event options and we are really looking forward to our kickoff to summer.”

Waters True Value, in partnership with the Bike Brew Q team, will host a beer-making demonstration. There is a golf tournament raising money for the fireworks, and a horseshoe tournament.

There will be lots of fun in Great Bend this weekend with the highlight being a concert with the band Homebrew at the end of the evening, Hayes said.

These are a few of the events one can experience in each community:

Also new this year is the Sunflower Diversified Services poker Run Saturday downtown.
