Girl's leg slips into water meter hole
1-Tribune

A girl approximately 4 years old was taken to Urgent Care at Great Bend Regional Hospital on Monday after stepping into a water meter hole on 10th Street around 1:40 p.m. Her leg was X-rayed but she did not appear to have serious injuries, according to reports.
Lt. Bill Browne at the Great Bend Police Department said the accident happened as a woman was handing out flyers in the 2400 block of 10th St. She was in the sidewalk/front lawn area with her daughter when the girl stepped on the metal cover to the water meter, which flipped open.
The Street Department was contacted.
