Golden Belt Community Foundation (GBCF) provides local college students with a free scholarship search and application process. The goal is simple, to connect students with donors providing financial assistance for education. Last year the Foundation awarded over $75,000 to students in Barton, Pawnee, Rush, and Stafford counties.

GBCF has extended the deadline to March 31st. Some funds are designated for students that are not receiving substantial financial aid, which cannot be determined until after colleges, high schools, or merit-based scholarships have been awarded. Scholarships include: Allan V. Miller Family Scholarship; Amy C. Harter Memorial Scholarship; Bill J. McKown Memorial Scholarship (Art); Bill J. Mckown Memorial Scholarship (Scouting); Bob and Rosalee Roth Family Scholarship; Cap Proffitt Memorial Scholarship; Effie I. Bank and Roy Banks Memorial Scholarship; First America Baptist Church of Larned Scholarship; Jeffrey A. Bland Memorial Scholarship; Kevin Popp Memorial Scholarship KU Honors Scholarship; Langford Engineering Scholarship; Larned Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship; Samantha C.
