The Golden Belt Humane Society gives back

On Saturday, April 8, the Golden Belt Humane Society will host a first come, first serve event that will provide free pet supplies. The Humane Society’s Community Give Back will start at 10 a.m. on the north side of Brit Spaugh Park at 24th and Main and will go until supplies are gone.

This event is made possible due to a partnership between the Humane Society of the United States and Chewy. Because of this partnership, several pallets of pet supplies were received, said Golden Belt Humane Society Director Heather Acheson. The pallets must be shared with community owned pets. The products are as is and can not be returned. This is not available for rescues/fosters or animal shelters.

This is the fourth giveaway event that the Humane Society has done and it is completely free. Last year, 300 individuals were present at the event. The pallets are wrapped up so it’s hard to say exactly what will be included in this give back event.
