All K-12 girls are invited to join Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland as they make new friends this year, take action in their communities, build leadership skills, and have fun.
Girl Scouts will be welcoming new girls during a special Girl Scout sign-up event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Front Door Community Center, 1615 Tenth Street in Great Bend. This is a great opportunity to join the fun and excitement in Girl Scouting, which builds girls of courage, confidence and character. Girl Scouts provides girls with a safe environment for trying new things and overcoming fears, making them greater challenge-seekers, more academically proficient students, and eventually, more successful adults.
Families will also have the opportunity to learn more about the fun activities available through Girl Scouting, including special events at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center and the upcoming Mother-Daughter Tea Party at Barton Community College. For more information on joining Girl Scouts contact Amy Ayers at (785) 827-3679 or go to kansasgirlscouts.org.
