Hoisington Forensics 3rd at Central Plains

HOISINGTON — The Hoisington High forensics team recently placed third out of 14 schools at Central Plains High School. 

Garrett Dykes placed first in humorous solo, and Payton Dykes placed second in oration. They have both qualified for the State Championship previously in those events. 

In duet acting, Heavin Hipp and Max Gray placed second, qualifying for the State Championship. In serious solo, Daphne Copp placed third, and Miquala Purscell placed fifth. 

In improvised duet acting, Madison Grandclair and Payton placed fourth, and Kelsi Dalton and Miquala placed fifth. 

In extemporaneous speaking, Garrett Dykes placed third and Victoria Luttrell placed sixth. Karen Lovett, Sage Martinz, and Bryce Hopkins contributed to the team effort. The Cardinals now have 12 entries qualified for State.
