Hoisington forensics second at Kinsley

HOISINGTON — The Hoisington High School forensics team placed second out of 10 schools at Kinsley recently.  Great Bend placed first.

Garrett Dykes placed first in humorous solo acting, qualifying for the State Championship in Wichita in May. Garrett Dykes and Payton Dykes placed second in improvised duet acting (IDA), also qualifying for State Champs. Kelsi Dalton and Miquala Purscell placed fourth in IDA, qualifying for the State Festival. 

In impromptu speaking, Payton Dykes placed fourth, and Garrett Dykes placed third, missing State by only one place. Payton Dykes also placed third in oration, missing State by only one place. 

Miquala Purscell and Brayden Copp placed third in duet acting, missing State by only one place. Max Gray and Heavin Hipp placed fifth in duet acting. 

In serious solo acting, Aiden Noblitt placed fifth and Karen Lovett placed sixth. In extemporaneous speaking, Victoria Luttrell placed fifth and Trevan Brown placed sixth.  Sage Martinz and Jarrett Shives completed the team effort.
