A staff representative of Congressman Tim Huelskamp who specializes in Veterans’ casework will visit Great Bend from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 11 at the Front Door Community Center, 1615 Tenth Street.
Huelskamp’s staff representative will be available to meet individually with Veterans to learn about their concerns and to serve as a resource for Veterans trying to navigate bureaucratic red tape.
Veterans seeking assistance are encouraged to schedule an appointment by contacting Congressman Huelskamp’s Hutchinson office at 620-665-6138.
“The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is our nation’s biggest bureaucratic agency,” Huelskamp said. “Veterans deserve the care and benefits they’ve earned from their service. My staff is available to help you navigate the VA and corresponding paperwork for you or your loved ones.”
Huelskamp is chairman of the subcommittee on economic growth, tax and capital access in the small business committee. He serves on the Veterans Affairs Committee.
He is the Tea Party caucus chair, pro-life caucus whip, and serves on the steering committee which nominates Republicans to fill committee assignments.
