An infant’s death in Ellsworth County is under investigation but no foul play is suspected at this time, Ellsworth County Sheriff Murray A. Marston said Friday.
Emergency Medical Service and law enforcement were dispatched to 2495 5th Road in Ellsworth County around 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, for the report of an unresponsive 1-year-old.
“Upon arrival, EMS determined that the infant was deceased,” Marston stated in a news release. “The matter continues to be under investigation by the Ellsworth County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.”
