Work is expected to start around Monday, Oct. 19, on resurfacing of K-14 north of Lyons.
The project – a mill and asphalt overlay – will occur on K-14 from the north city limits of Lyons to the Ellsworth County line. The length is almost 11.3 miles.
The work is expected to be completed by early November, depending on the weather.
During the project, traffic will be controlled by flaggers and a pilot car, so motorists should be prepared to stop.
The Kansas Department of Transportation is overseeing the work.
APAC-Kansas Inc., of Hutchinson, is the primary contractor for the $1,877,091 project.
