Members of the Great Bend Kiwanis Club prepare to deliver food boxes on Saturday, Dec. 12. The club does this every year, President Frankie Pelster said. “We delivered 35 boxes to families in need throughout Barton County. We delivered to Ellinwood, Hoisington, Dundee and rural Barton County – and of course to families in Great Bend as well. We received the names from the Emergency Aid/Food Bank. And Dillons provided us with the wonderful food boxes that included staples such as eggs, milk, bread, spaghetti, hamburger, hotdogs, potatoes and a holiday ham, (along with other) items.”
