The Kansas Wetlands Education Center will be all a-buzz with its January WILD program - Beeswax Lip Balm.

Celebrate Kansas and our state insect at the January WILD program at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29 at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center. Come learn all about the honeybee and some of the native Kansas bee species. Participants will make a beeswax lip balm to take home.

WILD is a monthly program for school-age kids and their families. Each activity is designed to get kids off screens and out appreciating nature.

This is a free program, but pre-register by calling the KWEC at 877-243-9268. The KWEC is located 10 miles northeast of Great Bend at 592 NE K-156.
