With wind gusts of up to 65 miles per hour in the forecast for Wednesday, the Barton County Landfill will be closed to the general public, Facilities Director/Solid Waste Director Phil Hathcock said. The facility will be open from 7 to 8 a.m. to accommodate commercial haulers, but will shut down after that.
