Barton Commissioners meeting Agenda

The Barton County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the former JC Penney building, 1500 Kansas Ave. in Great Bend. The meeting will be open to the public but will also be streamed through Microsoft Teams. Citizens may view the meeting through their own sign-in or by signing in anonymously.

The agenda includes:

• A Rise up Central Kansas program update from Program Coordinator Amy Ferguson.

• A winter weather update from County Works Director Darren Williams.

Following the agenda meeting, the following appointments are scheduled:

9:45 a.m. – USDA Grant Update – Dereck Hollingshead, IT director, and Patrick Hoffman, county counselor.

10 a.m. – Request for proposal for the 2024 Security Election Grant – Hollingshead and Bev Schmeidler, county clerk.

10:15 a.m. – Program update – Barry McManaman, county engineer.

10:45 a.m. – Equipment repair – Jennifer Hamby, solid waste director.

11:00 a.m. – Regular business discussion – Matt Patzner, county administrator.
