Pawnee commission weekly minutes

LARNED — The Pawnee County Commission met June 6 at the Pawnee County Courthouse. The following are approved minutes submitted by Pawnee Commission clerk Ruth Searight.
9 a.m. — Pawnee County commissioners Kathy Bowman, Donna Pelton and John Haas were present.
Commissioners approved County Clerk office budget pay the maintenance     and support on the AS400, beginning in 2012.
Commissioners discussed inmate medical bills.
John Settle, County Attorney, and Arlis A. Atteberry, retired Pawnee County commissioner were present. They discussed progress on the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. Atteberry left.
Settle gave an update on a new resolution for the fingerprint fees.
Read and approved minutes of May 31.
10 a.m. — Larry Sharp, Kcamp.  Presented and discussed claims ratio for Kcamp claims over the past four and one-half years. He discussed a grant available for the county.
Jenny Manry, Pride Committee. Jon Flint, Superintendent, USD 495. Golden Belt Community Foundation, Christy Tustin, director; Kristy Rupe; Suzan Haynes, Jim Froetschner; Donna Preisner, Extension Council, were present.
Golden Belt Community Foundation presented a $3,500 check to USD 495 superintendent, Jon Flint, to fund their grant  Pumpkin Hollow and the Melon Patch project.
Golden Belt Community Foundation presented a $15,188 check to Pawnee
County to fund Phase 1 of The Camp Pawnee Community Project grant.
10:50 a.m. — Denise Wood, Community Corrections/Juvenile Justice Authority director, discussed setting a time for Commissioner Bowman and Wood to meet with 24th Judicial District Judge, Bruce Gatterman. 
Commissioners approved and signed checks for payroll, bills and expenses.
11:30 a.m. — Jim Forrest and Charles Wonsettle, Welcome Inn, discussed the Public Transportation 12-passenger bus and the red mini-van. They informed commissioners of the loss of reimbursement funds for FY 2012.
Commissioners signed Resolution 2011-08 regarding fees for fingerprinting.
Settle discussed title insurance for the hospital.
Settle discussed the Bonding Finance Companies and setting up second interviews.
He discussed CMS and other hospital related matters.
He discussed a contract with Elaine Salmans.
1:30    p.m. — Rita Kurtz, PCEDC Legislative Committee; Settle and Kim Barnes, discussed reappointment for State House and Senate.
2 p.m. — Carl Miller, Pawnee County appraiser, discussed Neighborhood Revitalization.
2:30    p.m. — Kurt Demel, Pawnee County highway administrator, gave an update on the Department of Agriculture’s visit to his department. He discussed statutes relating to wireless 911 monies.
Commissioners approved purchasing repeater as presented from Mobile Radio Service, Inc., for $7,412, to be paid from the 911 fund.
Matt Heyn, PVCH administrator, and Kathy Weaver, respiratory therapist, discussed the need for a defibrillator for $8,982. Commissioners approved the request.
Heyn discussed ongoing communication with CMS.
Settle discussed PVCH issues.
4:10 p.m. — Commissioners adjourned the meeting. The next meeting was scheduled Monday, June 13.
