LARNED — A Fair Trade sale sponsored by the First Congregational United Church of Christ and First Presbyterian Church of Great Bend is scheduled Saturday, Dec. 3 as part of the Larned Hospital Auxiliary Holiday Fair at the Community Building. The sale is scheduled one block north of U.S. 56 at Toles Street, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Fair Trade story is to help people eliminate poverty wherever it resides through marketing of their handcrafted art and organically grown coffee and tea. This sale is not a fundraiser for the churches, it is a global mission to bring items to sell in Larned for the crafter in another country.
