Welcome Inn board meets
LARNED — The regular monthly meeting of the Welcome Inn Leisure Center Inc. was called to order by President Charles Wonsetler on March 5 at 12:45 p.m.
In addition to Charles Wonsetler, the following board members were present — Ben Appel, vice-president; Jim Forrest, treasurer; Betty Tauscher, secretary; Karlene Meckfessel, financial secretary; Pat Birzer, historian and Roger Haberman, reporter. Elaine Appel, Bobbie Sharrock and Mona Marie Wysong were guests.
Jim Forrest gave the treasurer’s report. All bills were allowed.
A request for a grant for the roofing repair was forwarded last week and by March 31, it will be known is it was approved. A “bakeless sale” was discussed to help generate some money for monthly expenses. At the end of most months, the “outflow” money exceeds the “inflow” money.
The next carry-in dinner was held March 9 with Loretta Moss and Bobbie Sharrock hosting. The carry-in dinner held Feb. 9, with Betty Tauscher and Charles Wonsetler hosting, enjoyed a nice turnout.
The meeting adjourned at 1:45 p.m. The board will meet again on April 2, at 12:45 p.m.
