The regular monthly meeting of the Welcome Inn Leisure Center Inc. was called to order by President Charles Wonsetler on Nov. 3 at 12:50 p.m. with the following members present: Betty Tauscher, Secretary; Jim Forrest, Treasurer; Thelmarie Wilhite, Historian, and Roger Haberman, Reporter. Absent were Marylee Phinney, Vice President, and Ernie Ashley, Financial Secretary. Also present was Amy Bauer.

Thyra Frazer declined the position on the board as Financial Secretary and Ernie Ashley has accepted the position.

Jim Forrest gave the treasurer’s report. No bills were available at this meeting.

There was a lot of discussion on the garage and bake sale to be held on Nov. 20 at the Welcome Inn at 113 W 4th St. The activities will start at 7 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. Everyone can help with this fund raiser for the Welcome Inn by donating items to be sold. Items can be brought in on Nov. 18 and 19, DO NOT bring clothes, shoes or items that are broken or needing fixed. We wonder what time Betty T. will have the first group of workers arrive on Nov. 20!

The next carry-in dinner will be on held on Nov. 14. A host has not been designated. Charles Wonsetler hosted the carry-in dinner on Oct. 10 and there was a nice turnout. The ice cream social held on Oct. 24 also had a very good turnout and there was a lot of ice cream and much visiting.

The Welcome Inn board and officers will meet next on Dec. 1
