Driver’s ed meeting set

LARNED — A summer driver’s education organizational meeting is scheduled at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Larned High School cafeteria. Students will meet the instructor, sign up for classes and pay the $150 in-district or $200 out-of-district class fee. Checks should be made out to Fort Larned USD 495. Students must be age 14 by June 1, 2012.


Burdett taco night set

BURDETT — The Burdett United Methodist Church will sponsor a taco night at 5;30 p.m. Wednesday in the Educational Building. Tacos, nachos, desserts and beverages will be served for a free-will donation. Everyone is welcome to enjoy good food and fellowship.

Golf tourney set June 3

LARNED — The Fort Larned Foundation for Education will sponsor the 6th Annual Fort Larned Foundation golf tournament June 3 at the Larned Country Club.  The four-person scramble will start at 9 a.m.
The Ft. Larned Foundation for Education is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2006 to support all USD 495 schools.
Registration is $200 for a 4-person team. Lunch will be provided at the clubhouse. Prizes include hole contests for clubs, and drawings. Flights will be determined by the number of participating teams.
Pawnee Valley Sport & Spine Physical Therapy and Advance Rehabilitation is sponsoring the green fees.
