Kidnapping story to be told Saturday in Rozel
ROZEL — Caring Hearts Ministry invites you to hear the story of Kathleen George’s kidnapping and how God intervened.
The event is scheduled from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Rozel Community Center. It is requested that visitors bring two gently used purses, one to exchange and one to donate. There will also be a frozen yogurt bar with all the trimmings.
Showcase scheduled Saturday morning
LARNED — Larned High School football coach A.B. Stokes will hold a combine showcase for Larned High School athletes Saturday. The event will start at 9 a.m. on the LHS track and football field. Combine events will be: 40-yard dash; 5-10-5 Pro Agility; Standing Long Jump; Vertical Test; and Bench Rep Maximum for 115, 135 and 155 pounds. The public is invited.
Clean-up planned
LARNED — A clean-up of the Larned City Pond, the sand pits east of town and along the highway and the Pawnee Creek Bridge south of town is planned for 9 a.m. Saturday. Anyone is invited to help.

LARNED — Escue Chapel CME Church of Larned is hosting a free Gospel Community Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Larned Community Center auditorium. Talent includes the Bradley Family, Robinson Family, A.B. Stokes, Escue Chapel Choir and the Girls of Dance Praise Dancers.
