Benefit set for Monday

LARNED — The Pawnee County Humane Society will benefit with 20 percent of the receipts from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Larned Wendy’s

Girls Night Out

LARNED — A free “Girls Night Out,” to raise breast cancer awareness will start at 7 p.m. Monday at the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital.
“Girls Night Out” will feature a guest speaker, educational information on self breast exams, mammograms, refreshments and door prizes.
The Larned Cortectional Mental Health Facility and CCS are assisting the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation.

County to meet Monday

LARNED — The Pawnee County commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Pawnee County Courthouse. Agenda items include Pawnee County appraiser Carl Miller on personnel and oil exemption.

Kiwanis  Club ready to party

LARNED — The Kiwanis Club of Larned will sponsor a Halloween Party from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31 at Schnack Park in Larned. There will be train rides, smores and refreshments.

LHS football team’s
fundraiser is Nov. 1

LARNED — The Larned High School football team will host a Chili Feed and Talent Show on Friday, Nov. 1, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Larned Community Center.
Tickets are available from players or may be purchased at Reed Pharmacy. There will be a drawing for prizes. Proceeds will go towards new football uniforms.

Flu clinics set

LARNED — Walk-in clinics with no appointment for flu vaccine are being held every Wednesday and Friday of every week at the Pawnee County Health Department.
