Larned Antique Show —Last day to attend Larned’s 41st  Annual Antiques, Toys and Collectibles Show and Sale at the Larned Community Center, 1500 Toles Ave. Doors will open at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The admission is $2 and children 10 and under are free. Homemade concessions on site and free appraisals will be available from 1 to 3 p.m.

Monday

Crops & livestock supper— The Pawnee County Extension Council Crops and Livestock Supper is set for Monday, 6:30 p.m. at the J. A. Haas Exhibit Building, 400 E. 18th,  in Larned. This years speaker is Brian Schurle, Professor, Kansas State  University, Manhattan, KS ,  who will be covering the topic  “Succession and Estate Planning-Don’t Leave a Mess Behind!”. The cost of the ribeye steak supper is $10.  Tickets are available at the Pawnee County Extension Office, 715 Broadway or by calling 620-285-6901.
Huelskamp in Pawnee County— Congressman Huelskamp will be  in Larned will be in Larned  Monday, 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the Larned Chamber of Commerce Jordan Room, 502 Broadway. For more information http://huelskamp.house.gov.

Thursday

Scraps hosting Coffee Hour —  Larned Coffee hour with Come Together on Thursday Feb. 24 at 9:30a. m. Coffee Hour will be located at SCRAPS in Larned’s historic downtown, 612 Broadway.

Friday

Burdett Coffee Hour at Burdett Senior Building — Coffee hour will begin at 9:30 and is sponsored by Larned Healthcare Center.

Monthly lab day coming up — Pawnee County Health Department’s Lab days will be on Friday. The clinic starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m.  You need to fast from midnight the evening before.  The available lab tests are:  Comprehensive Metabolic Panel - $30.00, PSA (prostate specific antigen) - $20 and HGBA1C is $10.  No insurance is billed and clients are responsible for following up on any abnormal results with their private medical provider. The Health Department offers this service in conjunction with Pawnee Valley Community Hospital and Quest Diagnostics.   This is a first come first serve walk in clinic, no appointment necessary.  The lab days will be held the 4th Friday of each month.   (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel includes Lipid profile, Thyroid TSH, electrolytes, liver enzymes, glucose, hemogram (CBC) and other tests)  Call 620-285-6963 if you have questions.  The Pawnee County Health Department is located in the 1st floor of the Courthouse, 715 Broadway, Larned.

BHC presents “Early African American Settlers” — The Black History Club program, Early African American Settlers of Edwards, Hodgeman and Pawnee Counties, presented by  Jane Doris, scheduled to Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Escue Church in Larned.
